The No Stick Larsons
The No Stick Larsons are an upbeat blend of Punk and Ska.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The No Stick Larsons are a Brass Rock band founded and based in the suburban labyrinth of Rancho San Diego. Jeff, Colin Waters, Colin Strong and Chad were founding members of another band, Risky Business also located in El Cajon, but left due to artistic differences with then lead vocalist Carson White and very scary drummer David. By their senior year of high school this group was looking for more from their music, with this in mind they decided to form a ska band. Their quest brought them to then retired drummer, Blake, who picked up his sticks to form the band that would become Monkey Fresh. After playing several local shows Monkey Fresh went on hiatus for the first year of college for the band mates. Returning from there first year of college the band saw that it could step beyond the bounds of ska and explore greater musical expression. The No Stick Larsons rose from the ashes of the now defunct ska band Monkey Fresh. The surviving members of the former ska band added Danny Segnit to the line up to fill the bass position so Jeff could take up lead vocals. This appeared to be all that was needed to fix some of the more juvenile defects of the previous incarnations. Now complete and whole The No Stick Larsons are set to rock the world with their hardcore blend of punk and ska, that has become know as, brass rock.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
